Samsung Released Public Beta of Android Oreo to S8 and S8+ users

Samsung has announced that users of S8 and S8+ based in South Korea, US and UK can download and test the Beta version of Android Oreo on their phones. As mentioned on their website :

  • In South Korea, Beta program is available for users who have a device that is locked to SKT, KT or LG U+.
  • In the U.S., it is available for users using Sprint or T-Mobile network carriers or has purchased an unlocked version for the U.S.
  • In the U.K., the program is available for users who have an open market device (operator unlocked version).

Beta version means that it is a still in testing phase and users may face issues while using it. Samsung will get feedback from the users and develop a more reliable and high performing software. This Beta version will contain mainly Samsung Experience 9.0 ( previously known as TouchWiz) preview version.  

If you want to apply for this Beta testing program, you must have an active Samsung Account. Using Samsung Members app or Samsung+ app, users can download the Beta version.
